Exxon Valdez Oil Spill's affect on Wildlife

Lots of animals suffered after March 24 on 1989. The oil spill had long term affects that were shocking and unknown at the time. Animals covered in oil were suffering and people came from all over the world to try and help these animals but many were very sick and died. The best estimate of exactly how many died is 250,000 birds that live around the beach and ocean, 2,800 Sea Otters, 300 Seals, 22 Killer Whales and Billions of salmon and herring eggs according to nps.gov
